The HMong | Economic Advancement| Research |Equity (HERE) Conference is the first National Hmong Entrepreneurs’ Conference. The HERE Conference is not just a conference, it’s our MOVEMENT to Re-Claim, Re-Envision, and Re-Shape the current system to create more equitable opportunities to achieve economic wealth and social equity for HMong and Asian Americans through collective advocacy, business and leadership development, and access to resources.

Envisioning a Narrative Changing MOVEMENT!

HMong American Leadership and Economic Development (HALED) has long been focus on Re-Claiming, Re-Envisioning, and Re-Shaping our current system that continues to perpetuate disparities in resource access and equitable participation in decision making tables and spaces. We believe that obtaining wealth and leadership is beyond the traditional educational learning system and that a degree does not define an individuals wealth building success but the lived experience that one brings with them. Not every approach to financial growth works for every person.

More than 45 years after the first Hmong refugees came to America, second- and third-generation HMong Americans still face obstacles to building their social and economic capital. For the longest time, our story has been told by those who does not walk our shoes. Our struggles and barriers has been determined by a monolith approach. During the onset of the CoVID 19 Pandemic, many HMong and Asian American were faced with a heightened anti-Asian hate that led to an increase of violence and discrimination that further exacerbated resource disparity and access to economic resources.

The HERE Movement is our message that, we are HERE to Stay, HERE to Contribute, HERE to Change, and HERE to Flourish. We SEE YOU and NOW, we’re asking you to SEE US and help us elevate our narrative, our experiences, and our story. Generational Wealth Building is not a one prescription fits all type of deal. Wealth means very differently to everyone and it all stems from their individual lived experience and contributing factors of generational and inter-generational values and traumas.

We are asking YOU, our partners and allies to join us in this MOVEMENT and share YOUR STORY to Build, Address, Elevate and Connect the needs of HMong and ethnic entrepreneurs, leaders, and community members, so we may further influence more equitable systemic changes.
