“HALED exists to provide guidance and connect resources in efforts to move our communities forward.”
Our Mission
A thriving community where everyone is socially and economically prosperous.
HMong American Leadership and Economic Development (HALED) is a grassroots organization that seeks to achieve economic wealth and social equity for HMong and Asian Americans through collective advocacy, leadership development, and access to resources. The organization and its leadership value Compassion, Equity, Accountability, Integrity, and Innovation. HALED envisions a thriving community where everyone is socially and economically prosperous.
The organization was founded in 2019. It was established to be a fundamental foundation for moving the Hmong and Ethnic Community and the Mainstream Community forward as a whole to bridge the cultural gap and eliminate the systemic barriers that prevent wealth equity. We strongly believe in building grassroots leadership and making meaningful partnerships. Understanding that an intersectional web of socioeconomic needs impacts wealth equity, HALED is committed to providing accessible and equitable access to resources and continuing bridging networks for the Hmong, Ethnic, and Mainstream communities.
