HERE National Conference 2024
As part of the Global HERE Movement, the HERE National Conference aims to help reshape and support the wealth gap in communities of color, build organizational capacity to eliminate barriers, and create new and innovative solutions that will drive financial mobility to increase generational and socio-economic wealth building in communities like the HMong and other Ethnic Communities. The HERE Conference provides a platform for HMong and Ethnic entrepreneurs and community members to own their story and their experiences in an effort to change the narrative that has been told on their behalf. Attendees will gain access to new resources and trainings that will propel their business.
Mekong Night Festival
The Mekong Night Festival is a fist of its kind music and night market festival in the North West Wisconsin Region that will be held at River Prairie Park in Altoona, WI overlooking the Eau Claire River that runs through the city. This event is free to the public and consists of a night concert and water lantern festival that draws over 6000 individuals from the greater community and throughout the Midwest out to enjoy a night of festivities and street foods. With the anticipation and demand we expect this year to be bigger and better and can't wait to have you join us!
Chippewa Falls Mekong Night Festival
On August 26th, HALED will host the second annual Mekong Night Festival, a unique music and night market extravaganza in the North West Wisconsin Region that anticipates an even greater turnout. The festival will take place at River Prairie Park in Altoona, WI, offering a picturesque view of the Eau Claire River that runs through the city. This eagerly anticipated event is open to the public and features a captivating night concert that attracts thousands of individuals from the Chippewa Valley and neighboring regions.
The night festival will illuminate the vibrant tapestry of Southeast Asian and other ethnic cultures and entice attendees with an explosive fusion of delectable cuisine, captivating cultural displays, diverse music that resonates through the night, fun-filled family friendly festive activities and awe-inspiring performances that transport the imagination. Through this immersive experience, we celebrate the rich heritage and artistic expressions that emanate from Southeast Asians and other ethnic communities, creating an unforgettable celebration of creativity and cultural diversity. Attendees will have the opportunities to engage and network with local organizations, businesses, and leaders.
HERE Conference
HMong American Leadership & Economic Development will host the FIRST EVER HMong | Economic Advancement | Research | Equity (HERE) Conference and summit on September 14th - 16th, 2022. “Igniting Hmong and Ethnic Entrepreneurs”
This will be a two day conference and one day summit of impactful content.
